Decancq Vercruysse Architects crafts spaces built upon the intuition and identity of their inhabitants. From our studio in Kortrijk, Belgium, we design architecture and interiors that blend function and aesthetics, leading our clients on a deeply personal journey.

Our philosophy is that home, and indeed any space, must be a place to feel intrinsically at peace, both physically and psychologically. Gentle atmospheres, natural materials, soft layers, nature and daylight are all present in our designs, as are simplicity and durability.

The authentic warmth of our work is formed by the clients we work with. We carefully observe and listen to aspirations and practicalities alike, to eccentricities, habits, scenarios and moods. From this portrait – architecture, interior design and landscaping materialise into plans.

Our process is led by the two founders, Hannes Decancq and Emiel Vercruysse. When the pair united to form Decancq Vercruysse Architects in 2021, they brought together their distinct skill sets. Hannes’ technical expertise working on-site with contractors, met Emiel’s innate sense for aesthetics developed working under Vincent Van Duysen.
